Hii... I am a leather artist. I use acrylic paint diluted with water to paint my pictures that I have carved. I am afraid I am treading in 2 worlds here and the line gets confusing for me sometimes. I know when you reduce acrylics it dulls the color but in leather it needs to be added in layers to remain somewhat transparent to see the leather through it. I paint under daylight bulbs and when you are under regular lights the colors seem dull until you get under the right lighting. Should I not paint under daylight or full spectrum bulbs? Second question is finish. In leather, they do not want a glossy finish but if I use matte, it dulls everything. I use spray Liquitex finish as I am afraid brushing will disturb the paint on the picture. Any suggestions? Thanks..! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
